Sampler Crunch IR Library – 2025 update: Akai MPC60 IR’s added!

Big news! The Sampler Crunch Impulse Response Library had a really big update. Four new samplers have been added to the IR collection, over a 1,000 new IR’s from the:
– Akai MPC60
– Casio SK-1
– Korg DSS-1
– Roland S-10

Also new: the Akai S950 > AX73 bundle: The Akai S950 running through the Akai AX73 Sampler In port, so that the S950 can be routed through the AX73 analog filter! Over 200 IR’s are in this collection, captured at different sample rates and filter settings (LP Cutoff and Resonance).

The Akai MPC60 IR collection is over 500 IR’s big! In addition to the direct input IR’s of the MPC60, I also recorded it through some classic gear like the Neve 1073DPX, Rupert Neve Designs Shelford Channel, API 3124V (2520 pre-amps) and a very nice little mojo mixer, the Tascam M-312B, at different EQ settings, sample rates and input levels.

The Korg DSS-1 is a hybrid synth/sampler from 1986 has one of the fattest sounding filters known to mankind. And a real nice digital delay (little brother of the SDD-3000). I’ve captured all these great feats in 242 IR’s!

For you lo-fi lovers: the Casio SK-1. This sought after 8 bit toy sampler is dirty! Line in and built-in mic IR’s are complemented with SM57, MD421 and MD441 mics using the SK-1 mic-pre. The same with the other Casio’s (SK-200 and SK-2100) in the collection.

The Roland S-10 sampling keyboard was Roland’s budget sampler in the late 80-ties, with a dark 12 bit lo-fi sound. Captured at 15K, 7K and downsampled 3,5K it’ll give anything that passes through these IR’s a lot of grit.
